Other community members who share similar activities include:

  • Grey Nomads, families and travellers with caravans and/or 4WD
  • Bicycle riders in bike riding clubs
  • Fishing and water sport enthusiasts with boats
  • Motorcycle enthusiasts including American Motorcycle Club Australia, Bundaberg & District Motorcycle Enthusiasts Club Inc., Historic & Classic Motorcycle Club, HOG WideBay Chapter, Motorcycle Appreciators and Riders Group, Ulysses Club Bundaberg and Vietnam Veteran’s Motorcycle Club

Who can be stopped or intercepted by Police?  All of the above!

When a person accepts the privilege of having a licence to drive, ride or operate a vehicle or vessel on our roads or waters you may be stopped for the purpose of a RBT or another prescribed reason under a number of legislative Acts including the Police Powers and Responsibilities Act 2000 and the Transport Operations (Road Use Management) Act 1995.

New laws have been introduced targeting these illegal activities of criminal gangs, including criminal bikie gangs in Queensland. These illegal activities need to stop and if you have any information which may assist police please contact Crimestoppers on 1800 333 000.

If you are not breaking the law, not engaging in violent or criminal activity and not behaving dangerously on our roads, you don’t need to be concerned about policing activity.

The QPS is committed to stopping crime, making the community safe and building relationships.
