Are you fed up with removing that old registration sticker … and trying to stick the new one on straight! Well read on this post is for you.
From October 1, 2014 you won’t get a registration sticker when you register any of the following vehicles:
Heavy vehicles (over 4.5t) and recreational boats will still need to display registration labels.
You will still need to register your vehicle – driving an unregistered vehicle is an offence and will earn you a $264 fine (for a 4 cylinder vehicle). Police officers will be able to use your number plate to check that your vehicle is registered.
You can check your registration expiry date online. You can also check the registration expiry date of a vehicle you are planning to drive. A renewal notice will still be sent to you about 4 weeks before the expiry date to remind you.
